Note: The users from ore site give us more detailed feedbacks: Wuxue’s rod can drill 700-1000 meters, LHS can drill around 1000 meters, but our rods could drill 600 meters only, and the failure form is always the external thread fracture or break out. However, the world famous brand Atlas Copco’s rod can drill approximate 2000 meters, and the failure forms are mostly external thread wear out, very few break out rate.

Improve Methods:

R32 male thread end will be used friction welding process.

T38 internal thread end welding hole, after welding taking bigger holes.

Taking the normalizing treatment after friction welding, to guarantee the organization keep uniform.

Heat treatment with Fully Carburization, Air Cool Quenching, Tempering keeps products high toughness, air cool quenching significantly improve its surface hardness and whole strength index.

Test Results:

The improved product quality has been close to or reach the competitor products, the quality has been relatively stable, and now has been carried out in a number of places to improve the follow-up test and tracking. Currently, Jinquan’s Hex35 drifter rods could drill near to 1500-1800 meters in some drilling sites.

New Equipment Introduction:

CNC machining thread equipment is debugging, the CNC processing thread of the experimental rod has been processed near to be finished, are waiting for the new testing. We believe this will improve the quality greatly further.
